I honestly can’t believe I haven’t published a full blog post on this session yet. I guess life swept me away. Meet Henry, his darling big sister, Nora, and their sweet parents. I photographed this sweet family a year or so ago for a family session. I immediately found friends in them. Nora is just delish. She’s funny, kind, and sweet as all get out. I ran into them a little while later downtown and they had mentioned that they were trying for another baby. Then it happened. I got the booking call saying they were expecting and wanted a newborn session. I was just thrilled!
I had so many favorites from this session. Secretly I’m glad I’m the photographer not the family and have to decide on which ones are my favorite.
In home newborn sessions are really special. The backdrop is your home, the place where you brought your new baby home to. It’s just a neat way to photograph and remember this moment in your lives. I have clients who don’t think their homes are “instagram worthy” and I reassure them that it doesn’t matter. Your home is your home. In 25 years, your baby will be grown and look at the house and remember it fondly. They will say oh I remember this or that.
With each newborn session, I take time to photograph the baby’s individuals on a beanbag. This is a just a beautiful and pure way to photograph them so little. It’s almost like going to the studio except when I’m photographing the baby alone, my clients are getting a snack or changing into sweats! Ha! It’s the beauty of an in home newborn session.
I’m booking summer/fall babies now. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re expecting. Click here to reach out to me.
