If you have been around this blog for any period of time, you have heard me on my soapbox about how in-home newborn session are very special. Your home is the backdrop for your newborn pictures and it is amazing. I especially love photographing the nurseries! Each one that I walk into is so creative and unique. I really enjoy photographing families in the room that they spent so many months dreaming about who would be sleeping in that crib. It is just such a special moment. Sweet baby Claire’s nursery was so vibrant and fun. I absolutely loved it!! Photographing the family is one of the givens with each session. I strive to photograph the siblings with the new baby as much as possible. The bond between siblings, especially older siblings, is an incredible one to witness. They fully understand the gift of a new baby and really lean into the love and responsibility that comes with it. As a result, typically, it’s a strong bond and I am the lucky one who gets to photograph it.
