There is something about a smaller town like the one that Peyton lives in. You know everyone, which when you’re in high school, isn’t a great quality. I grew up in a small town about the size of Peyton’s so I know her feelings first hand. Now that I’m a parent, I can’t wait to get back to a small town. Funny how that works, right?

Peyton is one of those people that once you meet them, you want to ask their parents for a handbook so you can raise your own children to be that amazing. Peyton has strong passion for horses. She grew up riding them and they are a large part of her life. So, when Peyton’s mom reached out, she asked for a session that included the horses. I told her, “You do realize, this is a photographers dream?!.” It is.

I was so excited to meet her two beloved horses and spend the afternoon with them. Peyton was confident, strong, beautiful and kind. It’s a complete package with her. She knew how to handle those amazing creatures and I felt lucky to be able to photograph their bond.
