Rarely do I have a client or hear a child with my same name. It was bigger back in the day (I don’t show my age here by saying exactly which day), but it sort of slowed down. Now I hear it a little more frequently. I was just thrilled not only when this amazing family asked me to photograph their second child after photographing their first(click here to see that session) , but with her name. While it’s spelled differently, it’s still perfect.
I just love the way this family is so easy going and fun. They are truly in love with one another and it absolutely comes across in their images. With each child, they wait until the baby is a little older a month or two before they have a newborn session. They are all settled in and into a routine. Also, their mom, who has excellent taste in home decor and outfit choices, doesn’t really want a wrapped newborn. She prefers a traditional outfit for them to be photographed in. I always tell clients that the timing of your newborn photography session is up to you. If you want your baby wrapped and sleepy first 7-20 days is your sweet spot. Anytime after that is also good, the baby will be more interactive and awake. For some families, this is what they prefer. I love every stage of photographing families!
If you’re expecting in 2025, now is the time to reach out to book in your newborn and milestone sessions. You can reach out to me here or click here for more information.
