Jackson Sneak Peek | Huntsville Newborn Photographer

I am so excited to introduce you to Jackson, 6 days old. He was super sweet and very relaxed during our session. He also has a super adorable big bother who was so darling if I didn’t already have a mess of kids, I’d be asking my husband for one just like him! The pacifier! UGH! Be still my Momma heart! I love lifestyle sessions because I am able to entire their bedrooms and photograph them as they are today. I wanted to be sure to document him with the pacifier because one day it will be gone and his Mom look back and think awwwww.

Dear Sara Catherine,

Welcome to this beautiful world. You are blessed to have joined such a great family. I am the lucky one who was asked to photograph you as a newborn. I spent the morning with you, your parents and your brother, soon to be your best friend (and quickly became mine), Wood. He loves you so much already and so proud to be your big brother. He is so nice, warm, hilarious, cute as everything and a total charmer. You are so loved already and I can tell you feel it by your ease and happiness. You were an angel throughout the session and even gave me a smile, which is hardly ever captured at your young age. You’re a gem, thank you so much! I am sure everyone will read this blog post and smile and say aawwww in unison.

I can’t wait to see you and your family again soon!

Elzy at Home | Huntsville Newborn Photographer

One of the unique parts of being a photographer is walking into client’s home to document those first days with their baby. I tell my clients that I have walked into just about every situation as people open their doors. If you’re thinking your home is different it is not. I promise you. Baby Elzy’s home was a first for me in the sense that her parents had just moved into it a few days prior. Okay, let me be clear about this so you understand. Friends they had a baby, moved into a new house days (DAYS!!)later. I mean WHAT?!! She warned me that it would be a bit of a mess from moving. No problem, again I’ve seen it all. Y’all I walked into a house that was fully unpacked, fully decorated and ready to go. It was more unpacked than my own house we moved into years ago! I was shocked. She said that her church small group had come in to help the previous day. Let me know if want to know what church that is!! Yes, I asked. Ha!

I am beyond blessed to meet the wonderful people I do at my job. I really love that aspect more than anything. Elzy and her parents were no exception. I am so glad to have met them and hope to photograph sweet Elzy as she grows!

First Birthday Session | Huntsville Children’s Photographer

It’s not often that I get asked to photograph a themed first birthday session. However, when Isaac’s mom reached out and told me the theme would be “rookie of the year”, I nearly died from the cuteness. Hard yes. When we met up, I was pleasantly surprised at just how incredible her idea had come to life. She had brought the most unique and incredible props. From a miniature bat with his name on it to a shirt with the number one on it to the bib that looked like a cut out of a uniform. The cake, y’all. It was decorated like a baseball! AHH! I seriously couldn’t stop complimenting her on her event coordinating abilities. I told her I needed to rent her skills out to those of us who are challenged in that department!
