I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to meet and spend time with Lilly and her family. Lilly has Down Syndrome and this shoot was inspired by October’s Down Syndrome Awareness month. Due to the lovely hurricane Sandy brushing by our state on our originally scheduled shoot, we had to move it to November. I have a special place in my heart for this cause as my Uncle also has Down Syndrome. So this session, and Lilly, were especially meaningful to me on both a professional and a personal level.
Lilly has amazing parents, so nice and completely gorgeous! They were so sweet to one another and completely in love.
This sweet 11 month old had more love for her parents, which she showed on so many levels. I was looking through the lens and would see her smile at her parents or reach a hand to hug and tears would come to my eyes. We all could learn a lot about love from this baby girl.
What a classic beauty!
If you would like to learn more about Down Syndrome or make a donation in Lilly’s name, please visit the Down Syndrome Association of the Low Country.
Thank you to this amazing family!
