I am so excited to show you this session from earlier this summer. It goes down as one of my most fun sessions. Though, there has been some competition recently. HA!
I met the Asbury’s this summer when they contacted me about a family beach session at the Isle of Palms. They were visiting from Tennessee, where the parents are both Doctors. They have busy schedules. This time to slow down and enjoy time with their two young sons was just what the Doctor ordered. You see what I did there? Ha!
While they were here, they wanted to capture this time together at the beach. I showed up and they were all so excited to have some fun! Which was good because I was so excited too!
We started the session during the “golden hour” which give you the best light. This time of day allows the sun to be low enough that you’re not squinting and gives a dreamy golden color. Which is why they call it the golden hour. It’s amazing.
We started off on the boardwalk to get things going.
We couldn’t keep those boys away from the water for long! Off to the beach we go!
Here is where the best part comes in. The boys put their toes in the water and soon, it was their ankles, then their legs and finally mom said, “just GO!” and that was all it took. They were in, I was in and we were all laughing and playing and I think the images speak for how much fun we had!
Cool, right?! The oldest boy forgot my name, so he kept referring to me as the “Mommy Photographer”. We thought that was so cute and so fitting, don’t you think?
I love this family. I will see you all next year. Same time, same place? Good!
