I just love the classic simplicity of this recent newborn session in Huntsville. I love photographers who go for all the colors and props, that is an art form. However, I have always been drawn personally to the classic simplicity of a neutral newborn session. Without the distraction of the props and the colors you get to really focus on the details of the baby, the siblings curiosity, the nursery and the love that the parents have for their new addition. There is just something about it that draws me, and I hope you too, in. During this session I brought in lighting to help brighten the room as it was a gloomy and rainy day. I also make sure to embrace the gloom of the day by turning off the lighting and using natural light when I can. You can see that the images in the nursery and with the newborn alone are bright and airy, which is my style, but then the sibling portrait takes on a different look because I turned off the lighting and used the natural light coming in from the window to create a different look to her portrait. I can’t say I’m just a natural light photographer because I’m not. I’m use whatever I have available to make the session the best I possibly can to deliver a product my clients and I will be so proud to show off.

A special thank you to Julian and his family for their ease during this session. They were engaging warm and so much fun! I am thrilled that they have booked milestone sessions and I will be photographing him for his first birthday session.
