Hey- yeah, so a lot has been going on since I last posted. I don’t feel like I need to tell you what has been going on (COVID-19), but I want to tell you that I’m choosing to look forward from this moment on. I’ve found myself wondering what the future is going to look like, both personally and with my business, like everyone else. I am choosing to hope for a future where I can leave my house and photograph your family in the very near future.
For those of you who have missed your maternity, fresh 48 and newborn sessions because of this, I’m so sorry. I want to tell you not to worry, or be sad or feel that you’ve missed your window. You haven’t! Yes, well, we can’t go back and do a fresh 48 in the hospital, but we can do a newborn session in your home! Your baby is still a baby. While we FEEL like we’ve been in quarantine for years, it’s only been a month (or so). Your baby is still new. They are still adorable and deserve to be photographed!
I’m now accepting bookings from mid-May forward. I feel as though it’s time to look forward and hope for the future. I feel with other states lifting their stay-at-home orders, we will be soon to follow. Now is the time to book!
A question I bet you are asking is how the sessions will be different post COVID-19. Great question. The health and the safety of your babies is always important to me, which is why at every session I:
- Wash my hands (a LOT) during our session.
- I don’t shoot when I am sick – ever
What I am doing for extra precautions moving forward:
- Extra hand sanitizing (and equipment sanitizing, if possible)
- Mask worn during our session
- Immediate/Cohabitating family members only
An added bonus for your safety is to know that my and I have been in total isolation for 5 solid weeks. As in, we haven’t left the house to go to the store (bless you grocery delivery), we have not once gotten take out or curbside pick up from anyone (I am utterly sick of cooking, yes.). I have not been within 6 feet of anyone but the people living in my house (they’re stage 5 clingers at this point, help). So I may be a little over excited to be at your house when this is all over, you will understand why. I literally haven’t left my house for 5 weeks. At all. I have done this so once this is over, I can rest assured that I am totally safe to be around your family and your newborn.
I am so looking forward to photographing your family! I can’t wait to see you all in the very near (hopefully) future!
