There are many cool aspects of being a photographer in Charleston. It would take too long to name them all, but there is one that stands out. Our amazing beaches! Not only are they favorites among locals, but people travel just to spend time visiting them. This family actually lives in Maryland, but purchased a beach house on Isle of Palms because they were so in love with the area. While they still live in Maryland, they visit frequently and have been bringing family friends, the Hunt family, for about five years. Now, that is a fun way to vacation.

This year they decided to hire a photographer to capture their respective families at a place that is so near to their hearts. That is where I entered the picture. I loved meeting this family. They were so warm, inviting and hilarious. Here is some of my favorites from their session

When I meet people who have been married for a long time, I always ask their advice on a long, happy marriage. I asked both of these couples separately, who have been married for over 18 years and 33 years respectively, and they both said, “patience”. I think this is wise wisdom coming from folks who know!
